The Safety Pharmacology Society annual meeting is the premier educational event for the safety pharmacology industry. No other venue provides educational sessions to this growing industry which is comprised of large pharmaceutical industry based scientist involved in physiology, pharmacology, toxicology and medicine. The majority of the attendees to this unique meeting hold the purchasing power within their departments. The Society’s annual meeting rotates between Europe and North America. Over two-thirds of the attendees each year did not attend the previous year’s meeting.

The size of the Safety Pharmacology Society and the focused scope of its meetings work to gather, in a single venue, both promising young scientists working in smaller biotechnology companies and senior management from large international pharmaceutical holdings. Exhibitors at the annual meetings of the Safety Pharmacology Society benefit from an exhibitor friendly format which maximizes the opportunities for potential clients to meet face-to-face with service and product providers. The historically informal approach of the Society's members encourages discussions between participants of all ages and backgrounds.

SPS meetings are characterized by nearly 100% attendance to scientific talks, meaning that both scientists and exhibitor representatives are encouraged to attend scientific sessions. The frequent breaks and the service of coffee and light snacks in the exhibit hall lead to animated and informed conversations between exhibitors and clients. Most exhibitors recognize the meeting as an excellent opportunity to stay updated with the field of Safety Pharmacology, and develop products and services which meet the emerging needs of their clients.

The limited number of exhibitors, and the homogeneity in the size of the exhibit spaces, avoid situations where immense booths dwarf the marketing efforts of smaller exhibitors; this results in adequate visibility for all, and equal opportunities for all exhibitors to meet with all non-exhibiting attendees.

The rotating location of the SPS annual meetings (North America, Europe, Asia) ensures the presence of new attendees from various areas of the world, and the repeated presence of past attendees regardless of the location of the meeting; and SPS meeting is a pleasant, almost addictive experience which no one wants to miss!

Booth Pricing

Booths will be the European 2 meter by 3 meter. The Exhibit Hall is carpeted. $2,500 USD for a Standard Inline booth. Includes two complimentary registrations to all the scientific sessions and events hosted by Safety Pharmacology Society. $2,600 USD for a Corner booth. Includes two complimentary registrations to all the scientific sessions and events hosted by Safety Pharmacology Society.

Booth Rental—Exhibiting Companies are welcome to rent more than one booth.

Upon confirmation of booth, you will receive a booth rental contract with the SPS Rules and Regulations.

Payment Terms

Payment in full is due upon reserving the booth. Cancellations received prior to June 15, 2007 will receive be 50% of the total cost of the space; if cancellations occurs after June 15, 2007, the company will be responsible for paying the full cost of the booth space. All payments must be made in US currency. SPS accepts the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa and American Express. The company will be responsible for any transaction fees associated with wire transfers.

The Edinburgh Convention Center will provide decorating services for the Exhibition Hall. Upon payment of exhibit fees, the service book will be e-mailed.

Booth Set-up

The EICC will mark the exhibit hall floor and will put all furniture order in the booth on September 18.  As shown above, move-in for exhibitors will be on September 19 from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, there will be no access to the exhibition area before this.  Exhibitors will be responsible for moving their freight to their booths.  If you would like to hire labor to move your freight you may do so through the EICC.  The cost is £18.00 + VAT per hour for a minimum of 4 hours. Alternatively we would expect exhibitors to move their own freight.

All exhibit booths must be set by 3:00 PM because the Welcoming Reception will be held in the Exhibit Hall.

Booth Furnishings

The exhibit hall floor has wall-to-wall carpet; thus, additional carpet is not necessary.

Your booth rental fee includes: 
  • 1 x 6ft baized trestle table
  • 2 x standard banquet chairs
  • 1 x 500w power supply  

Since the majority of exhibitors have pop up stand, there will not be any pipe and drape in the room.  If you would like to have a European Shell Stand, you may order this through the EICC, see attached documents.  

Additional Furniture and Services Orders
In addition, you may order through the EICC internet access, plasma screens, additional furniture and additional power.
